Thrown earthenware salt pig with white and blue splotch glaze

I enjoy making simple functional forms that are meant to be handled and enjoyed on a daily basis. This salt pig is a simple design but effective piece this would be a great gift for anyone's home, it comes with a small wooden spoon. This earthenware salt pig was thrown on the wheel and then altered, it was then bisque fired, after this step the glaze is applied then the piece is fired again to 1280 degrees in an electric kiln.

Made from earthenware clay

Finished with a white and blue splotch glaze
