Thrown ceramic pot with a handbuilt spoon and lid

I enjoy making simple functional forms that are meant to be handled and enjoyed on a daily basis. This pot is a simplistic design with a beautiful white and blue glaze, that comes with a lid and spoon. This pot is perfect for storing coffee, tea or hot chocolate and makes a great gift. This stoneware pot was thrown on the wheel and a handbuilt handle was added to hold the spoon, I handbuilt a spoon and a lid. The pieces were then bisque fired, after this step the glaze is applied then the piece is fired again to 1280 degrees in an electric kiln.

Made from high-fire stoneware clay

Finished with a white and blue glaze
