The Year of Gnomes has BEGUN!
(and if you have no idea what I am talking about why not sign up to my newsletter here)
Our gnomes for March use the lovely Gnome Pun Intended Pattern by Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes. This is a much quicker knit than February's cables but features a fun puckered hat design to keep you interested!
This month's gnomes are Bee Keepers so I have dyed you some delicious honey shades of Merino and Donegal Nep - I thought the little flecks were almost like bees! You also have some lovely bee themed stitch markers
this kit will work for either 4ply or DK gnomes. For the DK version you should hold 2 strands together (2 different colours) and knit with 3.25 and 3.5mm needles - for my version I am knitting the hat with the yellow and saffron orange held double for the first 3/4s of the hat and will then hold 2 strands of the yellow together for the final part. On the body I will start with the yellow and brown together then combine the saffron and brown to complete it. This will create a marled effect on your gnome that will look really rustic and fun with the colours moving from lightest to darkest from the tip of his hat to his bottom!
In this kit you will receive:
3 x hand dyed 20g skeins of 85% superwash Merino with 15% Donegal Nep
1 x 10g undyed skein of superwash 75/25% merino/nylon 4ply
3 special stitch markers to match this month's theme
pure wool stuffing
a Ringtons herbal tea bag
Printed pattern booklet (or the option to purchase without the pattern if you already have a copy)
