**New** Locket's Mighty Munros Hot Water Bottle Kit

If you follow my instagram feed you will know that I love Scotland and go on holiday there as often as possible.  This summer I have been drawn to include aspects of Scotland in both my dyeing and my designs and this new pattern was dreamt up while staying near the New Lanark Mill where the yarn is spun.

It was the colours that spoke to me first and the design just evolved - and I loved it as soon as I started knitting.

Then I needed a name and having designed it in the rich jewel tones it was tempting to use them as my name inspiration - but I knew I wanted to offer it in a variety of colour ways - rich heather tones, coastal blues and greens, autumnal landscapes - so I asked my friends on social media for suggestions.

Lovely Lesley Johnson said the design reminded her of mountains - so what about the Munros - and the name Mighty Munros followed on shortly after!

A Munro is a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3000 feet (914.4m) - but I have to admit I have never climbed one so cannot claim to be a "Munro-Bagger"

This hot water bottle is super cosy and snug and features interlocking diamonds in rich colours.

It is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, using a Turkish cast on and 3.25mm needles which will make it long and thin when you are knitting it but will block neatly around a standard 2 litre hot water bottle to create a snug fit - no-one wants a saggy hot water bottle cover!

Each kit contains

• 4 x 50g balls of New Lanark DK wool or wool/silk blend
• a printed pattern booklet 
• a lobster clasp stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round
• contained in a re-usable, re-giftable box*
