A relaxed, friendly and fun knitting retreat by the beautiful Northumberland coast
Accommodation is in the gorgeous Dunstan Hall near Craster:
A Grade II listed country hall with an intriguing history and an abundance of period features. Stunning views towards Dunstanburgh Castle
Entrance hall with 15th-century fireplace. Living room with cleaded walls, Jacobean carved wooden fireplace attached wooden brattish (fireside settle). Drawing room with Queen Anne panelling throughout, grand piano. Dining room with 14ft long oak refectory table (seats 18), stone fireplace, Morris tapestries. Well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with large electric range. Breakfast room (seats 10) with 4-oven Aga. Reading room, stone vaulted ceiling. Utility/toilet. Separate toilet. Tudor stone staircase and early 20th-century staircase to first floor: Large double bedroom with magnificent 18th-century panelling, window seats, cupboard leading to blocked door to lost second tower. Master double bedroom with window seats on two sides, 18th-century panelling, leading to tower twin bedroom. Two further twin bedrooms, one looking west over the garden, one looking east to Dunstanburgh Castle. Bunk bedroom with panelling. Two single bedrooms, one with 2ft 6in bed (for +1 child). Two bathrooms each with separate shower cubicle, toilet. Shower room. Tudor stone staircase to second floor: 25ft long games room, TV. Double bedroom, mullioned window facing west, leading to tower twin bedroom (for +2) with window facing east to remains of a medieval garderobe.

Approximately 8 miles from the nearest train station at Alnmouth.
Simple but good home cooked food will be provided for all meals, snacks, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks from Friday night to Monday breakfast.
The weekend will include plenty of time for knitting, chatting, laughing and making new friends, strolls in the beautiful surroundings, walks down the lane to the beach (approx 1 mile), laid back craft workshops (only charge will be for materials), a pop up shop and outdoor cooking (weather permitting - an opportunity to layer up all those gorgeous hand knits!!!!)

A 50% deposit will reserve your place
The remaining 50% balance will be requested approximately 3 months before the event
Payment includes accommodation for 3 nights and all food and soft drinks from Friday evening to Monday breakfast (transport costs NOT included)
Terms and Conditions
If the booking is cancelled less than 28 days before arrival the full payment will be retained unless the space can be re-booked
If the booking is cancelled less than 42 days before arrival then a TOTAL charge of 50% will be retained
If the booking is cancelled 42 or more days before arrival then a TOTAL charge of 25% will be retained
In the event of a no-show the FULL booking charge will be retained.

The organisers are unable to take any responsibility for loss or damage to belongings while on the Retreat and attendees are advised to keep any valuables to hand.
Transport is NOT included and taxis may be required to transport people between venues.
In order to keep this Retreat as low cost as possible it is understood that everyone attending will take an active part in communally cooking and clearing up from meals.
