Locket's Budget Retreat #4 Friday 9th - Sunday 11th November

Accommodation is in comfortable single bunk beds in dormitory style rooms sleeping 2, 4 or 6 people in the gorgeous Calico Barn Bunkbarn near Druridge Bay

(Nearest train station is Morpeth, 25 minutes drive away, taxis available at the station)

Simple but good food will be provided for all meals, snacks, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks from Friday night to Sunday breakfast using local produce where possible

The weekend will include plenty of time for knitting, chatting, laughing and making new friends, strolls on the beautiful beach only 5 minutes walk away (an opportunity to layer up all those gorgeous hand knits!!!!), knitting workshops (only charge will be for materials), plus pop up shop in the stunning and comfortable communal area of the Calico Barn (a former quilting shop)

After checking out from the accommodation at 11 on the Sunday morning there will be the opportunity to travel south to visit Lucy Locket Land HQ near Sunderland where more goodies will be available to purchase and a sandwich lunch will be provided. the shop will also be open for those local knitters unable to come away for the whole weekend so we can have a special Knit Group!

(for those not travelling by car it will be possible to get a taxi to Morpeth station for a short train journey to Newcastle where you can catch a metro to Seaburn where the shop is located at 53 Dovedale Road, SR6 8LP, this journey would take approximately an hour - including the 10 minute walk at the end - which is about the same amount of time as it will take to drive!!)
