Learn the basic principles of Fair Isle colour-work including choosing suitable yarn, yarn dominance, alternating colours and a brief history of the technique and traditions. With access to a comprehensive library of books on Fair Isle Knitting and the wide variety of patterns and graphs.
You will learn how to knit a sample swatch of colourwork which you will also steek (cut!!) so that it can be made into a small brooch or marker.
Basic knitting skills required and the ability to knit in the round is preferable but not essential.
Needles and Shetland wool provided. This course should enable you to start a pair of Fair Isle wrist-warmers to complete at home with the wool, needles and pattern provided in the lesson.
Light refreshments provided. Maximum of 4 places available.

If you need to cancel in advance and advise me at least 24 hours before then 50% of your course fee will be refunded. In the case of non-attendance the full course fee will be retained.
