Learn the basic principles of Fair Isle colour-work including choosing suitable yarn, yarn dominance, alternating colours and a brief history of the technique and traditions. With access to a comprehensive library of books on Fair Isle Knitting and the wide variety of patterns and graphs.
You will learn how to knit a sample swatch of colourwork which you can make into a decorative cuff
Basic knitting skills required and the ability to knit in the round is preferable but not essential.
Needles and Shetland wool provided.
Light refreshments provided. Maximum of 5 places available.
